A popular plant for collectors! Lithops is a genus of succulent plants in the ice plant family. Members of the genus are native to Southern Africa. The stone-like appearance of the plants allows them to avoid being eaten by blending in with surrounding rocks and they are often called pebble plants or living stones.

Although they are sun-lovers, intense heat can damage their foliage and cause sunburn.

Lithops have the capacity to store water for months in their leaves and overwatering can lead to puffy plants, and even to their demise. Also, remember they thrive in desert conditions with infrequent moisture and intense sunlight. Therefore, mimicing Lithop growing condition is important to keep them healthy.

Underwatering, however, can result in stunted plants. The trick is to water only when the soil is thoroughly dry.

When Lithops are growing new leaves, it's best to leave them and not water until the old pair of leaves are completely dried up and withered. Lithops she’d their old leaves as they grow new ones and usually do this after blooming.

Sold in 2” plastic nursery pot. You will receive one stone.
