Blue Eyed Grass ‘Blue Note’ (Sisyrinchium angustifolium)
Clusters of dainty violet-blue flowers on short stalks embellish dark green, grass-like foliage for a beautiful late spring display. This member of the Iris family forms a gently spreading, compact clump. Excellent for garden borders, tucked among rockery or in a fairy garden. Native to the United States.
Pollinators readily take to the flowers, which is nice considering that most Sisyrinchium species bloom and provide pollen and nectar to our winged friends before some of the larger summer flowers really get going. Grows to 18" high.
Zones: 4 to 9
